Sorry to hear of the trouble you are experiencing with your Fabia. Unfortunately this is a common problem on Fabia, Yeti & Roomster models. Model: Superb mk2 FL 2.0 TDI 103 kw 2015;fabia mk1 1.2 47 KW 2003; fabia mk2 FL 1.2 44kw 2011. Currently, I own two fabias mk2, before these, I had felicia 1.9D from 1999 (I sold it in 2013 with 145 000 km), and company cars, fabia mk1 HTP from 2003 (sold in 2007 with 230 000km) and another mk2 from 2007 also HTP (sold in 2013 with 180 000 km).

It is roughly idling (cold) at 1000rpm, somtimes it jumps upto 1500rpm when first started. When warm it stays bewteen 1000rpm and 500rpm with random jumps backup. (about 5 out 10 times when it hits 500rpm it will cut out) That's it then; the idle speed is set too low or the idle stabilisation has failed.

I've heard it's quite common on the 1.2 to have an issue with the pistons burning out. Does anyone know if this is true or if they have had Anny issues with this engine. I have been very ignorant of late and my Fabia is one example for this. I have found out some touch up marks om my fabia and now regret my decision for going for a Skoda. Please see below the pics. 2007 Skoda Fabia 1.2 HTP 12v Classic - ECU Issues? The new spark plugs seemed to fix this problem - for a while at least. After 5 or 6 weeks of it being The central locking on my Fabia MKii TDI Greenline (Engine identifier code BMS) has quit working, some wires were shorting in the drivers door loom, and after taking a photo of the broken/damaged wires the central locking was no longer working. Do not refer to the „MAX“ and „MIN“ markings on the reservoir to check the hydraulic oil level.
