1. Poor Price-to-Performance Ratio. In an attempt to cut down on memory capacity without switching to a lower-density chip, Nvidia made some adjustments to the memory subsystem of the GeForce RTX 3060 8GB GPU. Compared to the original 12GB model, the 8GB variant sees a significant reduction in its bus width, from 192-bit down to 128-bit. It performs similarly on average to the RTX 3060 Ti, which as we just established is within spitting distance of the RTX 4060 Ti, but comes with 12GB of memory and a wider 256-bit bus for $350. You can save hundreds of dollars by not going overkill on a 13900K (and use a cheaper cooler too) and use those savings on a GPU. A 13600K + Peerless Assassin + 3070 (or even 4070 Ti?) will be a much more balanced PC. EDIT: With a $2500 budget, even including peripherals, a 4070 Ti and an i5-13600K or Ryzen 7 7700 are realistic choices.
GGDR6 on that card is quad-pumped, meaning the actually clock for that VRAM is 1875 MHz at stock. 1875 x 4 = 7500 MHz, and since that's double data-rate, double it to get effective 15GB/s. That overclock is adding +287.5 MHz to the VRAM clock, so that's: (1875+287.5) MHz x 4 = 8650 MHz effective, or 17.2GB/s. 3.
And rtx 4060/ti should deliver on that front. Regular 4060 only 115w, which is big jump. It doesnt really makes sense to buy 3060ti now, as there is 4060 around the corner, which will be much more power efficient. On the other hand, regular 3060 is still way to go, as 4060 will be 100€ more. But then again, there is 6650XT. Nvidia announced the 12gb version of the 3070ti. Just wait. The 3070 ti is faster than the 3060. If you play in 1440p the 3070 ti will be fine upgrade. The way nvidia added more vram to old gpus is a gimmick. The 3060 wont ever be fast enough to utilize 12gb in gaming. Fair points.
As we expected, the new Nvidia RTX 2060 comes at a higher $339 (about £270, AU$490) price than the card we looked at in our Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 review, which is the one the RTX 2060 is
That doesn't mean there aren't small things to gripe about. Stepping down from the 3060's 12GB of memory to a stingier 8GB doesn't feel great, especially when poorly optimized PC ports seem to
The specifications of 3060 Ti provide it with a bandwidth of 448 GB/s. This transfer rate is a lot higher than RTX 3060. 3060 provides 360 GB/s of transfer rate. Once again, 3060 beats 3060 Ti in memory clocks. Due to more VRAM, the memory clock for 3060 is 15Gbps, whereas the memory clock for 3060 Ti is 14Gbps.
Under normal circumstances this should have been priced at $400 or less but due to the inflated prices right now you won't be finding any GPU at a good price relative to the ones in 2019. The 3060 along with the 6600xt is the best value GPU for playing games at 1080p at this current market. The 6600xt is slightly faster but lacks the features

Then there’s the most eye-popping feature of the RTX 3060: The 12GB of memory it carries. It makes the faster Ampere cards look a little under-spec. The MSI Gaming X sits near the top of MSI's

The RTX 3060 line, in either of its configurations, impresses based upon its price-to-performance ratio, especially when considering that the RTX 3060 carries a $329 / £300 price tag and the RTX
The RTX 3060 features less than half the CUDA Cores as the 3080, coming in at 3584. However, the budget RTX 30-series card has a higher boost clock speed of 1.78 GHz and 12GB of GDDR6 memory. Although it is worth noting that the 12GB of memory uses older GDDR6 instead of the “X” variant used in the RTX 3080. Additionally, the RTX 3060’s
