I need an all around zoom and my budget allows me check the 24-105 stm and the ef 24-105 L used. (I have the adapter). I'm watching the reviews for the rf and seems to have very good iq and also great is that helps with the very slow aperture. On the other hand the ef has the f4 all the way, the weather sealing but I don't know how good the is is.

The 28-105 is 6 oz. lighter (13 oz. vs. 19 oz.), but has less reach and no IS. The 28-135 is larger and 50% heavier, but slightly better optically, has 30% more reach on the long end and first generation IS that is good for about two extra stops when shooting static scenes handheld.
The Canon RF-S 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM is a compact, lightweight superzoom that makes an ideal travel companion for APS-C cameras like the Canon EOS R7 and R10. It offers much greater range and a slightly faster aperture than the RF-S 18-45mm lens, and also boasts light macro capability. It performs above expectations for a kit lens and is an

Weighing in at just 525g the EF 24-105mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM is a great travel companion. Its flexible zoom range – from wide angle to telephoto – lets you tackle a wide range of subjects without having to stop to swap lenses. It’s a good performer in low light too, with a 4-stop Image Stabilizer guarding against blur from camera shake.*.
Capture clear shots consistently with this Canon RF standard zoom lens. Optical image correction provides up to five stops of shake correction for clean shots, and the Center Macro Focus helps capture photos as close as an inch away. This Canon RF standard zoom lens features an optical control ring that lets you quickly change the settings.
The Canon RF 24-105mm f/4-7.1 IS STM is a versatile general purpose lens. Great focal range and decent optics but at the expense of a smaller max. aperture (f/4 at 24mm, f/7.1 at 105mm) and differences in image quality throughout the focal range. There is a variable f/4-7.1 aperture. The lens features a unique Center Macro Focus position, which
The RF version is definitely Canons best 24-105 but I didn't have the EF version either. A jack of all trades is rarely a master of anything. I used to also have the sigma art version and that throng was super sharp. I ended up getting a 24-70 2.8 cuz I needed the extra stop light.
The RP is a good replacement for a EOS M when you equip it with the STM primes. Unfortunately the kit zoom 24-105 f4-7.1 is garbage! Sorry but I'll stay with the sharp STM primes and the old sharp EF L lenses. The new RF L lenses are too expensive for an amateur like me. The 16-35 f4 L IS, 24-70 f4 L IS and the 70-200 f4 L IS are my go-to zoom

The normal price now is $125, and is still a very low price for such a lens. I don't have the 24-105mm L, so i can't really compare but regarding colors, I am pleased with the picture below that was taken with my 50mm 1.8 STM, no polarizer, just plain lens with a UV filter on it and the Canon lens hood.
